Liquid cooling
Why liquid cooling in FM Transmitters ?
The new generation transistors, maintaining the same dimensions, need to dissipate powers up to 2,5 times higher than the typical values of some years ago, so they need more efficient cooling systems respect to the “forced air” traditional ones.
For this reason DB Elettronica has developed a new family of FM transmitters with liquid cooling characterized by:
- Longer life devices. Reduced heat sink temperatures ( < 40° C with 30° C environment , against the typical 80°C in the air ) guarantees a considerable extension of the components life.
|
- Reduced dimensions and weights thanks to the lower space used by the heat sink and their lower weight. This guarantees a drastic reduction of weight and dimensions with advantages in terms of occupied space and manageability.
- Complete Absence of corrosions caused by the continuous passage of the air, often humid and charge of dust and corrosive particles (about 25.000 m3 of air per day in a transmitter of 2 kW!)
- More energy saving through the absence of conditioning systems.

- Reduced Maintenance: No periodical cleaning and substitution of damaged parts.
- Instant Installation: no conducts for forced air, holes through the wall, extractor fans, etc: only 2 flexible tubes to connect to the exchanger.
