HI-ADC Technology: ultralinear amplification for digital signals

HI-ADC is a new kind of ultralinear amplification for DVB-T signals and it has been developed by DB Elettronica thanks to the intuition that linearity and efficiency should and could be extremely improved on digital signals amplification with a properly using of the “laterally diffused metal oxide” latest generation technology.
 

This innovation means that considering the same consumption, dimensions and video parameters, the transmitting equipments doubles the output power of transmitters in comparison to the previous one. Moreover there is an increase of RF efficiency, that goes from the28% of the old technology to the 43% obtained using the HI-ADC.

 

HI-ADC technology offers significant advantages even in analog transmission mainly because of its exceptional audio / video quality and lower power consumption (-35% approximately). Moreover, when using the transmitter for digital transmission the power reduction factor changed from 1:4 to 1:25 with a consequent further reduction of costs and consumption.
