The research, development and implementation of specific products for the science area is managed and coordinated by DB Science, an independent division of DB Elettronica, which collaborates with other group companies such as EBS Srl, ETT Srl and PMW Srl.
DB Science produces RF amplifiers, RF generators and other microwave equipment for research institutes, particle physics, nuclear engineering and medical therapy.
The main characteristics of RF amplifiers and RF generators made by DB Science are:
- Powers up to 250 kW cw or pulsed.
- Reflected power up to 100% .
- Frequencies from 8 MHz to 900 MHz
- Solid state or tube technology.
- Air, liquid or steam cooling.

The DB Science R&D Department is structured for the design of complete systems and provides its customers with all the necessary assistance for the initial determination of the project and of the RF amplifiers, RF generators and microwave equipment technical specifications.
Actually the DB Science laboratories are working on the design of a new version of RF amplifiers family and high performance RF generators up to 250 kW cw.
